Andrew Jackson Lanter -1852 - became the pastor of the North Fork Primitive Baptist Church in 1889, according to a book "History of the Church" found at the Newton County Library. His Tombstone reads, "Elder" Andrew Jackson Lanter. The Church building is still in Willow Hill, Illinois, but is now an upholstery shop on the corner of North Street and Church Street. It was the 1st Church of any faith, organized in the County.
